These are fake colleges and universities that sell qualifications without the need for serious study. They have given distance learning a bad name. To deal with this problem, there are now monitoring bodies in place both at federal and regional levels. These organizations positively vet any college or university claiming the resources to deliver a quality learning experience for its students. Only if staff of the right caliber and course content of sufficient quality are available will the operations be allowed the status of online accredited colleges. Before you sign up for any online courses, ensure you are dealing with properly accredited colleges and that your qualifications will be recognized as valid.

Change in attitude

Traditional campus learning used to be considered the norm. Now it's seen as expensive and inconvenient. When people can stay home, keep their jobs and get qualifications that are as good as those from a traditional college or university, the pressure to leave home disappears.

Learning styles

If you attend a traditional campus, you are pushed into impersonal lecture rooms with too many people. Most people get a better education when they are one-to-one or in small groups.
